Sometimes when you laugh at someone less fortunate than yourself, karma “smote’s” you. This is what happened to me this week. I, Laura Freeman, laughed at Fran Curry and her illness. Two weeks ago, Fran was bent over in pain, moaning for her life. She even wished death upon herself. And I, in my meanness, laughed at her stories. Not just giggled, but out and out laughed. Karma reached out and smote me. I, who am never sick, was so ill that I didn’t get up out of bed, except to make it over to the couch, for 4 days. I had to cancel callbacks, cancel auditions, and miss out on work. It totally sucked. So, I hope you are happy Fran. You won.
